Our B&B in Bempton is the perfect base to explore East Yorkshire’s coast and countryside. Just a short walk away, the breath-taking Bempton Cliffs and RSPB reserve offer unforgettable wildlife and sea views. Nearby, and visible from your room, Flamborough Head impresses with its dramatic chalk cliffs, lighthouse, and hidden coves.


Seaside towns like Bridlington, Filey, and Scarborough are easily reached by train from Bempton Station — just 200 metres from our door. Whether you're after coastal walks, traditional seaside charm, or peaceful nature reserves, there's something for everyone just around the corner.

Bempton Cliffs & RSPB Reserve

Just a short stroll from our doorstep.

The world-renowned Bempton Cliffs offer awe-inspiring views and an unforgettable wildlife experience. The RSPB reserve is one of the UK’s best places to see seabirds, with thousands of puffins, gannets, and razorbills gathering here between spring and summer. Whether you're a keen birdwatcher or simply in search of a breath-taking coastal walk, this dramatic stretch of coastline is a must-see.

Bridlington

Just down the coast and accessible by train

Bridlington offers traditional seaside fun with its award-winning beaches, promenade, and historic harbour. The Old Town boasts a mix of quaint shops, galleries, and tearooms, while the contemporary Bridlington Spa hosts theatre, live music, and events throughout the year.

Scarborough

Seaside fun easily reached by rail

One of Britain’s first seaside resorts, Scarborough offers a little bit of everything: traditional beach fun, a rich history, scenic coastal beauty and even a castle! You’ll find two lovely bays – North and South – separated by a headland. There’s plenty to explore, from the lively arcades to the peaceful Peasholm Park and the Scarborough Spa. For families, couples, or solo wanderers, Scarborough is packed with character and charm – just a short train ride away from our B&B.

Flamborough Head

A few minutes drive and visible from your room

Flamborough is known for its striking white chalk cliffs, historic lighthouse, and hidden coves. Enjoy scenic coastal walks, explore rock pools, or take in panoramic views across the North Sea. The area is also a favourite spot for kayaking and sea safaris, with chances to spot seals and even dolphins.

Filey

A few minutes drive and a short train journey

Filey is a hidden gem along the Yorkshire coast. With its wide, sweeping bay and golden sands, it’s the perfect place for a peaceful beach day, a paddle in the sea, or a leisurely stroll along the promenade. The Edwardian architecture and slower pace give Filey a nostalgic charm, while the seafront cafés and independent shops add a warm, welcoming feel. Don’t miss Filey Brigg – a long, rocky peninsula ideal for  fossil hunting, or simply soaking up the views.
